Would Evening Primrose Oil cause spotting?
I am on the pill, Mercilon, and have been since February (Mercilon since May). I experience breast tenderness, so last time I was at the doctors two months ago she recommended taking Evening Primrose Oil. I forgot to take any the next month, but this month I have been taking it pretty much every day (not that I’ve noticed any change in my breasts). However a couple of times over the weekend I had slightly pink discharge (but only briefly both times), and yesterday my discharge was more brownish, like the start/end of a period, spotting perhaps? It has gone today, but I didn’t take any EPO just in case.
I’ve read that there is no scientific proof that EPO interferes with the pill, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed I haven’t just experienced implantation bleeding. But what could have caused this spotting then?
