how do they KNOW the planets will be aligned on that EXACT date?
when they discovered all of this ”information” as to what is supposed to happen on ”december 21, 2012” how do they KNOW the planets will be aligned. how do they KNOW that the earth and sun will be aligned with the galaxy’s blackhole? do you know how many years away that is? how could they possibly know that far ahead in time.
and also, i have read about polar shifts that have a 5200 year cycle, what exactly does it DO does it just alter the earth’s rotation into going the opposite direction? will it just make us lose the internet, all satellites and a lot of resources or what?

Nobody discovered any information that is related to any disasters or apocalyptic events that is supposed to happen on december 21, 2012. Just good old myths and shi’t.
Poles don’t shift.

Its a cycle, not an ending, and has been observed for eons.
Many are fascinated that the Mayans knew of us and this time we’re in.
Patterns are recordable.

First, the planets NEVER align in a straight line. Their orbits prevent a straight line alignment. Second, no major alignments (our perception from Earth) are scheduled for 2012. It is rare that even 3 planets align (sort of) a 5 planet alignment as seen from Earth (not actually lined up) is extremely rare. All of them have NEVER lined up.
This is just part of the junk science surrounding the 2012 hoax. You can download the free Stellarium planetarium software and run the dates ahead in time and determine when 1, or 2, or 3 planets will all be in the sky at the same time.
As for an alignment between the sun and the Earth and the "center" of the Milky Way Galaxy, this happens EVERY YEAR on December 21st– guess the hoaxers forgot to mention that! The entire solar system is actually about 6 degrees away from the center moving further AWAY.

ACTUAL shifts in the rotational axis of the Earth NEVER happen! Magnetic shifts in the Earth’s magnetic field do happen about every 200,000- 900,000 years it varies greatly. It’s a slow process that happens over thousands of years. No extinction events have been tied to a magnetic pole shift.

The positions of planets can be calculated to high accuracy from orbital models. Careful observation of the sky will produce useful data. This is what the ancients did, since they didn’t have telescopes or computers.
You don’t need VSOP87 or DE405 – a casual glance at the sky will suffice – to see that the planets aren’t even close to being aligned in 2012. Even now, Jupiter and Saturn are pulling away from each other. They won’t be near each other in the sky again until late 2020, which will be a spectacular sight in Capricornus. With no alignment of Jupiter and Saturn, any talk of alignment involving other planets is moot.
The mean time between alignments to, say, 1 degree (twice the width of the full moon) is several orders of magnitude greater than the age of the universe.

It’s possible to predict the future positions of the Sun, Moon and planets very accurately and it can be shown that there’s no alignment on 21st December 2012. Talk of the Sun being in line with the galaxy’s black hole is the work of crackpots and frauds who don’t know anything about astronomy.
The same applies to this 5200 year cycle of polar shift – pure fiction.
