[ [ [ [ Red Eyes ] ] ] ] ]?
So I self-diagnosed myself with Conjunctival Hyperemia or known as red-eye, because my eye symptoms seems closest to its description. I’ve had this red-eye for as long as I can remember, since the beginning the high school. My blood vessels would enlarge and engorge with blood on the white parts of my eye mostly noticeable around the sides or the Conjunctiva, if I am correct. The blood vessels appear mostly on my right eye, but very little on my left eye (my left eye seems normal, my right gets very red). I’ve seen my optician a couple weeks ago, they recommended me to use eye-lubricants and in this case I purchased myself a bottle of Refresh artificial tears. I haven’t used it too many times, but the reading I’ve read suggests that I should keep using the tears several times a day for at least a week. Now, I’m not sure if it will permanently clear the blood vessels for good, but I am hopeful. I’ve read that I shouldn’t be having this red-eye for as long as I have had it, but I’ve experienced red-eye every-single day since the beginning of high school(or roughly around that time period). I was wondering, since I have had such good feedback from Yahoo Answers, if I should continue to use this eye lubricant? If so, will this work? Has anyone had this experience like me?
P.S. I am a soft contact lens user, I take care of them very well and use them up 12 hours, but on average 8 hours since I have glasses as well. Some days I would wear my contact lens, but the blood vessels would will appear – especially when I go out of the house (grocery shopping, school, outside in general…) I will contact my optician soon as well (as in this weekend). Not sure if it is allergies or not, I do react to pollen and dust, but my eyes don’t itch, but it could be allergies. Also, in the past I would use over-the-counter Visine to clear the redness, hoping that would to its thing, but instead I think it’s horrible and instead makes my eyes more red with my blood vessels more enlarged – but I stopped doing so a couple years ago after finally figuring it out. Evidently enough, the eye I used the Visine on the most appears to have the most enlarged blood vessels that are noticeable to this day. Horrible! Hence, I am a tad-bit hesitant about putting any solutions in my eye, even if it is eye lubricants. However, I feel that these eye lubricants will be doing more good to me than the over-the-counter stuff… from what I read. I tried to be as specific as possible, ask me if I need to clarify anything!
Thank you for reading! Hope you can help, thorough answers are much appreciated!
am sooo sorryy but ur story is sad mr.vampire

ok try this buy some green tea or herbal tea and when you get home boil some water, but first take out your contact lens ok. After the water is done put it in a cup and get two packs of green tea or herbal tea wet them and place them on your eyes, but close them first. or if that doesn’t work just try the water with a clean towel for your eyes, and if you wear makeup remove it first before you do this ok.

There could be a few reasons for your red-eyes and Visine was not a good idea. Visine constricts the blood vessels temporarily, and after it wears out, the redness will re-appear.
The redness you’re experiencing could be caused by Allergies, Dry-Eyes, Contact Lens Solution or the Contacts.
Did your optician inspect your lenses for protein build-up? Hold the lenses up to the light after they’ve been cleaned. Protein would look like tiny white specks on the lenses and can be removed by cleaning with enzymatic tablets.
If you kept the lenses on in the house, do your eyes get red? If they get red only after going outdoors, this could be allergy related. You can experiment with over-the-counter allergy tablets(Zyrtec, Claritin, etc.) and see if the redness is eliminated.
You can try changing your cleaning solutions to a different brand. If you’re using a solution that is a "No Rub" type, and you are not rubbing the lenses your lenses are not being cleaned properly. They require rubbing.
Artificial Tears or Lubricating Drops are very safe to use regularly, so if you think your redness is caused by Dry-Eyes, then try using the drops frequently and see if it improves.
Did your doctor ever suggest a different brand of contact lenses? If not, request a sample of disposables and see how those work for you.
