I’m making a turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans recipe from Ina Garten, roasted brussel sprouts, spoon bread corn casserole. I am torn whether to make the traditional mashed potatoes and candied sweet potatoes or try something new and make a potato and leek au gratin casserole and sweet potato fries. What are you making?
Suggestions welcomed.
I will also have rolls and dessert. Thinking about an apple crisp and pumpkin pie.

Turkey, real mashed potatoes and homemade gravy, corn, sweet potatoes, Brown-n-serve rolls, pumpkin pie and real whip cream for the pie. Oops, and cranberry sauce too. We have to pop in to the big family dinner but the larger our family gets the more people try to change the traditional meal so my kids and I will eat at home and my mom and all the rest of the family can eat all the foods that are good any other day, just not on turkey day.

We have the same thing every year
1- Big buttered turkey Stuffed with an italian sausage stuffing
2. Mashed Potatoes or Balsamic Roasted Potatoes
3. Mashed Yams w/ Marshmallow or Carrot Souffle
4. Green Bean Casserole
5. Cranberry Sauce
6. Rolls
For Dessert I usually make the pies and they change but there is always a pecan and a pumpkin. Sometimes we also make a fruit pie like apple or apple custard or minecemeat.
