My computer won't work (details in desc.)?
Ok I was on my computer and suddenly it froze. I turned it off and then when it was loading a black screen came up with a white dash in the top left corner, I kept that screen there for over a day and it still didn’t load so I turned it off and when I turned it on "COMPAQ" came up and at the bottom of the screen it said Esc. (Boot menu) so I clicked on it and entered "2nd master" and then a screen came up and it "restored" my files, then when I turned it off and back on to load it did the same thing (black screen with slash) so I loaded 2nd master again and this time it loaded and it was like a whole new computer, everything loads faster and I’m guessing everything I downloaded has now been uninstalled since it asked me to download a free trial for Norton(sp?) and when I clicked on firefox it treated me as a complete stranger, so everything was fine.. But my internet? I still have my SMC adapter plugged in, but there isn’t a internet connection on my computer. So when I go to Firefox the page won’t load due to no internet. What do I do to get my internet back on?
